How HCM connects you with legal help
HurtCallMax provides a free connection service for people seeking help with Alberta personal-injury questions. This page explains the boundary between an introduction and a lawyer accepting a file.
The information used for an inquiry
The initial form collects contact details and a broad inquiry category with consent. Follow-up may clarify the incident, location, date and your needs. You should be told which firm may receive relevant information for considering the matter.
The firm makes the professional decisions
A participating firm is responsible for its conflict checks, licensing obligations, assessment of the matter and decision whether it can act. HCM does not certify a case as valid or determine that a deadline has been met from a short inquiry.
An introduction is not a ranking of every Alberta firm. We do not claim that all participating firms satisfy a published numerical caseload, trial-success or response-time threshold without verified supporting information.
Cost and choice
There is no charge to you for the HCM introduction. The lawyer’s fees, disbursements and other engagement terms must be explained by the firm before you decide to hire it. You can decline a proposed introduction or select another firm.
Information sharing
Use the consent information beside the inquiry form and the Privacy Policy to understand the request. Avoid including detailed health records or confidential documents in a general email. Ask the recipient for a secure way to supply records when they are needed.
